Events, meetings and tourism - a sustainable destination

Gothenburg is now ranked as one of the leading cities for meetings and events in Europe and is also greener than ever.

Events och meetings

The goal of the Sustainable Gothenburg destination project, which was launched in 2010, is to make the city a world-leading sustainable destination for meetings and events. Göteborg & Co manages this project in co-operation with the Environmental Administration (Swedish site available for translation) and hotel and restaurant associations, transport companies, exhibition and conference venues and organisers. These efforts already show results. In a benchmark survey of 16 Nordic destinations, conducted by the meetings consultancy MCI, Gothenburg took top place.
