10 city districts

Gothenburg is divided into 10 districts, Majorna-Linné being the largest both in the number of people and homes. The largest by area is Norra Hisingen, while Centrum is the smallest. The city districts are large units from a Swedish municipality perspective: if Majorna-Linné were a separate municipality it would be the 35th most densely populated of Sweden’s 290 municipalities. Lundby would come 56th, between Kungälv and Enköping.
